Irish Rollforming steels its future with €2m investment
Cork based universal cladding solutions company Irish Rollforming has just finalised a €2m capital investment programme, designed to position the company for significant growth in the coming years.
On foot of this investment, Irish Rollforming has also revealed its new corporate identity which is intended to better communicate the company’s ambitious, modern and innovative credentials.
Meeting Market Challenges
This investment in both capital and marketing supports the company’s efforts to diversify and grow by meeting market challenges and to cover off wider industry fluxuations.
The new machines boost production in the areas of rollforming, laser and plasma cutting, and insulated panels. They use state-of-the-art technology to improve cutting accuracy and speed as well as increase design capability and output for the bespoke building products which Irish Rollforming produces.
“With the volatility of the market recently, this strategic investment underlines our leadership position in the industry and allows us to operate as a leaner, more agile company as we continue to enjoy significant growth across a broad range of industries, ” explains owner Liam O’Sullivan. “We can address more quickly the specific requirements of our customers and turn them around in two days, sometimes faster.”
Humble Beginnings from a Garden Shed
Based near Mallow, Co Cork, Irish Rollforming manufacture and supply roofing and cladding products and accessories all over Ireland, which are used in the agricultural, commercial, industrial, sports and residential industries. In 2019 they rolled out over 1000km of sheeting—more than twice the length of Ireland.
The company was first established in 2010 as a cladding manufacturer and quickly expanded from boxed and corrugated sheeting to complementary products such as gutters, flashings and purlins.
Commenting on the humble origins of the company, general manager Declan O’Leary said, “This all started nearly 10 years ago with two men working out of a shed out here in the country. Now we’ve grown to be a one-stop shop on 30,000 sq ft and with more than 50 employees. We’re able to produce miles of bespoke sheeting in one day and deliver it nationwide on our own trucks.”
Government Certified
Currently the largest specialist roll forming company in Ireland, Irish Rollforming achieved Agri-Certification from the Department of Agriculture, CE rating and ISO certification to ensure their sheeting matches the critical government regulations. They also diversified to manufacture a new range of insulated panels.
“The investment in this equipment matches our investment in our customers. It helps us offer them the best product and service,” continues O’Leary. “We love working with people and getting to know their unique needs. Our customers know they can pick up the phone and talk with a friendly and knowledgeable professional, who will help them get everything they need.”
